The Decision That Gave Me Super Powers….
About a week ago, I finally pulled the trigger and got LASIK.
I wanted to do it FOR YEARS but was too scared to follow through.
However, since getting engaged and planning for a wedding at the end of the year, I decided I couldn’t risk one of greatest fears (having a bad contact lens day and not being able to see everyone and everything on my wedding day).
The next morning after surgery I woke up and opened my eyes (to a very dark room) since my eyes were still light sensitive. My fiancé put up additional curtains in our normally very bright room. I looked across the room at the patterns on the curtains and realized I could make out EVERY tiny detail.
IS THIS HOW IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE?!
I had a moment where — I kid you not — I felt like Spiderman in the famous scene where he gets his spidey powers.
I felt like a super hero.
Suddenly I could see every detail in high definition in ways I could NEVER before.
In addition to 10 minutes of the actual surgery, one evening of pretty uncomfortable pain, and dry eyes for the days/weeks/month to follow (I’m told) — I 100% wish I followed through sooner!
It made me think…what else have I been putting off?
